The Port Washington Lions Club is hosting a free community Health Fair, to be held at First Congregational Church in Port Washington. It includes a variety of health tests and seminars along with a blood drive by the American Red Cross. To preregister for the Blood Drive call 1-800-733-2767.
It also includes:
•Diabetes Testing
•Blood Pressure Checking
•Children Vision Screening Preschool & Younger
•Adult Eye Pressure Testing by Melissa Knous, O.D. and Kris Knous O.D.
•Discussion on Glaucoma, Diabetes, Hypertension, Cataracts and Macular Degeneration 9:30 -10:30
•Fiber, May The Force Be With You, A Cooking Demonstration And Other Ways To Increase Fiber In Your Diet, By Columbia St. Mary’s Cancer Center 11:00-12:00
•Diabetes Prevention and Life Style Management By YMCA
•C.P.R./A.E.D. Training, By American Heart Association
•American Red Cross Blood Drive
The health fair is open to anyone and is free except for the CPR/AED training. The CPR/AED course is $40, it’s about 4 hours long, and when you are finished you will be certified and receive a CPR/AED course completion card. Please signup in advance for the class by calling 284-0862
